I know it's "old fashioned" to love this kind of thing but I can't help myself! And after all I live in PARIS !!

I don't want to refuse a occasion to celebrate love. I know a lot of people don't like it because they think it's only commercial. I don't think so. You do what you want for Valentine's day. I don't want any gift. I don't see valentine's day like that. And I celebrate love everyday with my fiancé (lol). It's just.... more special...

In France it's only for "lovers" I mean, you'll never see someone offer something to a "friend" for valentine.

We've planned to go to a restaurant. It's not a big thing. It's just an occasion.... we are not going to exchange gifts.
I really think that you can see this as an occasion and not only as an obligation to offer a gift.
That's my opinion. Light a candle, make a special menu, enjoy a good bottle of wine.....

And if you're single.... take care of yourself! see some friends, organize a party.... (bottle of wine is recommended here too)

♦ I don't like the dress I'm going to wear at my engagement party but.... see above.
